We are going to look at an expert in GoodGame Empire

He has the most building points meaning he has the most upgraded and the most buildings. The ranks constantly change but as of now he is number 1. Thats ok we can still learn from him. Lets look at his main castle and one of his outposts. This is his main.

Pretty impressive! You can see all the diiferent buildings are grouped together and he has alot of decoritive items to even out his dwellings.This is his outpost

Organization

Organization is very important. As you can see here

 

I am pretty organized. Some other people are probably more organized but this is ok. If you are organized you can place more buildings using the same space. If you run out of space then you have to demolish buildings which takes time and you only get 50% of the resources back.But if you plan accordingly and be somewhat organized you will always have enough space to place your buildings. 

About Taxes

One mistake people make about tax is the longer you send him out the more you get. That's not true llook at these pictures

If you calculate the unit price for 10 minutes and 30 minutes you'll find 10 minutes give you more coins per minute but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. If you play 8 in the morning and 8 in the evening then you might want to do the 12 hour run because that will give you more coins than if you just do 1 10 minute run. However this rule does not apply to the collections with rubies.

The Tutorial

Everything is pretty much straight forward here. You follow the quests and it wont let you do anything else! At about level 7 they kind of let you go so you can start managing on your own. You want to level up and build as many farmhouses as possible because they give you alot of soldiers and if you don't have enough food they will desert and leave your castle. Try to get to level ten on your first time because the chances you will get attacked gets lower. And save up on rubies. Dont use them to speed up buildings because when you advance levels you will have more uses for them. Also you want to hang onto your protection as long as possible. If you get out of it to early(you get out of it by attacking other people)you'll probably regret it. These are basically the tips for when you are levels 1-10.
